LUCAS COUNTY COVID-19 UPDATE

Attention Staff:

With the update to the levels under the Ohio Public Health Advisory System this afternoon, Lucas County has elevated to a Level 3.

The state order for those counties in a Level 3 require face coverings indoors in public places and outdoors when 6 feet of social distancing cannot be maintained, goes into effect tomorrow at 6:00 pm.  Follow this link to the guidelines based on the risk levels: https://coronavirus.ohio.gov/static/OPHASM/COVID-19-Risk-Level-Guidelines-GP.pdf

In a statewide address from his office in the Statehouse last night, Governor DeWine said that the state is at a critical point in the COVID-19 pandemic and implored Ohioans to take appropriate action to reverse the rapidly increasing spread of the virus.

Effectively immediately, Toledo City Council has approved an ordinance requiring the use of face coverings for all people in the City of Toledo.  Follow this link for the full press release and FAQs: https://toledo.oh.gov/masks/

As we have been stressing for the past couple of months, it is imperative for EVERYONE’S safety to wear a mask when you are out in public, even when you are with family not in your household.
